Why Rhinoplasty?

Treatment Process
Before Rhinoplasty:
- You should quit smoking about a month before surgery.
- You should also stop taking aspirin-like blood thinners a month before intervention.
- The day before your nose surgery, you will travel to Istanbul and stay in a nearby 5-star hotel.
On the day of treatment:
- You’ll be in your room at the hospital.
- Our doctors will give you a full checkup and a full blood test will be performed and an ECG should be performed.
- Your responsible anesthesiologist and surgeon will talk to you in detail. In the meantime, you can revisit for your questions, fears and concerns, if any.
- As soon as your blood values are ready, a sedative is given if it is deemed necessary.
- After that, general anesthesia is initiated.
After surgery:
- As soon as you wake up from the anaesthetic, you’ll be taken care of. Our nurses and carers will move you quickly to balance your circulation.
- Of course, medications (antibiotics, painkillers and sleeping pills) will be given to you to the extent necessary.
- Five days after the surgery, the plastic surgeon in charge will check your nose, remove the splint and put on a tape for the return flight to Germany.
- 6-7 days after the operation, you can fly back to Germany.
- Do not smoke for two weeks after the intervention and do not use aspirin-like blood thinners.
- No pressure should be applied to the nose for four weeks. This means you can’t wear sunglasses.
- You should avoid heavy movements and sports that will strain your body for six weeks.
- The swelling that occurs will pass at the end of about three months.

How is rhinoplasty performed?
Before treatment, you can share your wishes with one of our experienced plastic surgeons. It will try to take into account your preferences and desires, but it will also clarify the features that fit your face so that you get the optimal aesthetic result.
You will fly to Istanbul for surgery and stay here for about 5-7 days. We are trying to prepare this for you as comfortably as possible.
Rhinoplasty is a simple surgical procedure and is performed under local or general anesthesia. In the meantime, you don’t feel any pain. We work with the most advanced techniques. In the past, the nose had to be broken to fix the nose. Our experienced surgeons have not done this for a long time, but instead the bones and cartilage are removed and added using a gentle grinding method. Incisions are made only in places that are not visible from the outside. For this reason, nose correction operations do not cause visible wounds. Bumpers are used only in exceptional cases. If this is considered necessary for you, a silicone tube will be used so that you can breathe through the nose immediately after nose aesthetics.
For the first two days after administration, a slight pain and a slight feeling of pressure may occur. In this case, we are administering medication. Removing the splint causes minimal pain. Most of our patients breathe significantly better after treatment.
